Bookshelf...

When you hear the word "bookshelf" there is an image that pops into your mind. What kind of image is that? Is it your bookshelf or is it an ideal one from a library? Maybe it's a photo you remember from the past?

Everybody can be figured out by his/her books. What types, genres or lenghts you read, describe you. My inspiration for this came from a person's bookshelf, I've realized this afternoon. Having a basic knowledge of this person, it wasn't suprising what I found. But what if you don't know a person and you can take a glance at his/her bookcase, before you know him/her? I think this is a part of a person which can tell much about one.

My bookcase has separated parts for the different types of books. There is a big part where I keep my English and other foreign language books. Then there are some encyclopaedias for the reliable information. I have a shelf for entertaining literature and light readings. Here I have : Stephen King, Jude Deveraux, Shakespeare and many more that can give me some quality freetime and make me relax. And then the dictionaries which are very handy when the internet is out and you have to look up something.

As we heard once:  "We are what we read". So how does your bookshelf look like? :)

Music...

As you look over the folders on your computer, you must have found one with the label "Music". When you start to browse in it you find the older favourites and the new ones together. And here it starts. You begin to listen to the older songs from your collection and realize how much you changed....or not.

Thinking about your changes, the music starts to manipulate you. It changes your feelings and mood. It affects the current flow of thoughts. There are the songs of depression and that help you when you are lonely, sad or just negative. There are the party songs that make you want to dance. And the songs when you are just happy, bored, thinking...so as many types as many types of feelings you have.

But why does music make such a deep impact on us? How do sounds make us change mood? Why do we pay so much attention to them? Could we be happy even if we lost our ability to hear?

In my life, music is very essential. I listen to all types: rock, metal, classic, pop, retro...everything. Every kind of sound gives me a different kind of impression. The best feeling is when a "perfect" sound hits my ear. That is something frenetic and inexplicable... That is what I think, everybody should feel/hear.
And if I would ever lose my ability to hear I would die...

It works...

Please look at the photo... Everybody can observe that it is slightly different from a normal park around a normal block of flats. This picture was taken in Hague. It's interesting part is that how close they let animals to themselves. Here in Hungary if you have some animals in your backyard, which are not dogs, cats or any cute little things then people hate you. They start to feel smells and hear sounds that the animals make...the animals are not making noises or smells, but your neighbours still feel and hear them. This is caused by the totally abnormal way of thinking that people should have their yards full tidied and idealistic for garden parties and idealistic events that are usual in America.
Why?!?! Why should this be the normal way of life what America shows us? Why do people have to be perfect , owning a perfect life, perfect house? Because this is part of the idea too. Can't people think themselves? These things are attached to life as well.
Despite the things I wrote I think that in Hague and the whole Netherlands found the solution for these things. They don't want to be perfect.
I'd love being there. People were kind and it was so different from Hungary. The only problem was that everything was too modern for me. But I think I could get used to it if I had to.
